They have the constant itch to think about what their professor thought of their answer in class, what chapter they need to read, or what paper they need to finish. My law school is part of a huge university, so I've dated quite a few undergrads and some non-law grad students and so that was the best of both worlds - because, yeah I studied all the time, but they had work to do too so we could "spend time together" even if that meant just going somewhere to study together.

What Law School is Like (In Five Minutes)

This guide came too late for me. But whoever that person is must be very understanding and realize that there will be some weeks where you don't really have the time just to hang out, like when you're studying for finals or in later years working on journal stuff. You will hear many people they treated 1L as a full time job - especially before finals, you can work 5 days a week and still have time to meet someone knew or hang out with your SO.

Post image via Shutterstock. OP, as others have mentioned, your 1L class will be incestuous. At my school, it didn't help that we all frequented the same bars and people would blatantly make out and leave together.
