Smokeless Image Pro’s:
Smokeless Image Con’s:
If you’ve been vaping for a while and haven’t heard of Smokeless Image, you’ll be kicking yourself in the ass. But if you’re new to vaping, consider yourself lucky – because I will save you the trouble in finding an electronic cigarette worth your time. Smokeless Image is one of those companies that hasn’t received the needed exposure that they deserve, but when you dig around the ECF forum for a while, you get to know who’s who in reliable companies. Smokeless Image’s Volt is a setup almost identical to Halo Cigs, and Bloog Maxxfusion, but there are differences. Some minor, and some major, but most definitely some differences that are worth their weight in vaping gold.
For starters, lets talk customer service. Smokeless Image’s customer service couldn’t get any better unless the president hand delivered your accessories in person. If you don’t believe me, just check their forum on ECF (with over 1,300 pages of mostly praise). Any time there is a problem, they resolve it – and it is always in favor of the customer. Smokeless Image is located in the Republic of Ohio, so those of us who are on the west coast may have to wait an extra day or two for the items to appear in our mail boxes, but when it comes to shipping your order – they do it almost as soon as they receive it. It is almost guaranteed to ship within 24 hours, and if you order early enough it can ship the same day. Also, Smokeless Image offers FREE shipping on orders over $55
Smokeless Image Performance
I own both Bloog and Halo Cigs G6, but for some reason the Smokeless Image Volt feels like it is performing more consistently, and lasts a little bit longer. Because these are generation 2 KR808D-1′s, the battery performance is regulated and will not hint at needing to be charged until a few toots right before it dies. Smokeless Image’s batteries are regulated to work at a constant 3.7 volts, and are 320mAh (78mm), and 220mAh (65mm) – which makes them the longest lasting batteries of the KR808D-1 that you will see until more companies jump on the bandwagon. When using the older batteries from different companies, I need to take 3 to 4 batteries with me if I was going to be gone all day – simply because they were unreliable and didn’t last as long. With Smokeless Image’s Volt, I feel very comfortable just taking 2 batteries with me, and most of the time my first battery lasts me all day – and I just put it on the charger when I get home. The 78mm battery lasts me about 4-6 hours of moderate vaping, and the 65mm battery lasts me about 3 hours of moderate vaping.
At 3.7 volts, and ~ 2.8ohm resistance cartomizers, the only thing better is going to be a high voltage, low rez, mod. With Smokeless Image, you get to make the room all cloudy while not looking like you are puffing on a pipe-wrench. The Smokeless Image batteries have 2 air-holes on the battery threads and 4 air-notches in the cartomizers. The holes are smaller than some of the other companies who supply KR808D-1′s, and there are some out there with 4 holes that make it feel like sucking in air. In my opinion, the ease of draw on the Smokeless Image Volt is perfect, not too hard, and not too light. I have heard it rumored that Smokeless Image uses a 100% PG mix for their e-juice, but whether or not that is true I am not 100% sure. In any case, the vapor that you get from the Smokeless Image cartomizers is very nice, thick, and warm. And the throat hit? It is very pleasant. 6Mg – 18mg is exactly how it should be, and 24mg definitely packs a punch. Because Smokeless Image uses horizontal styled atomizers in their carts, the cartridge life is significantly improved. The atomizer is located at the bottom of the cartomizer and doesn’t actually touch the polyfill, so you will rarely ever burn the “stuffing,” thus increasing the life of the flavor for whenever you refill. I have found that with these styles of cartomizers, you are truly getting up to and beyond 300 puffs. Considering that the typical cigarette is around 15 puffs, that equals to 20 cigarettes (which is 1 whole pack, by the way).
Smokeless Image Flavors
I personally wish Smokeless Image had more tobacco flavors, but the ones that they do have are quite a treat. For instance, 555 is one of my favorites. I used to vape Vapor4Life’s 555 but they changed the flavor a couple different times and now it tastes like toilet water. But the 555 from Smokeless Image is one of the best I’ve tried. Here is my PERSONAL rundown of the flavors that I have tried: Cowboy: 7.5/10
Smokeless Image Value
Most of the “popular” (or should I say more advertised) electronic cigarette companies mark up their inventory an outrageous percent. But Smokeless Image’s prices are one of the most reasonable that I have come across for something this good. Not only do they offer a PCC, Blank cartomizers, and ejuice; they also have USB Passthrus, multi-color caps (to keep track of your blanks when you fill them), stealth tips for the batteries, and they are constantly getting feedback from the community and thinking of new accessories to offer.
Conclusion
I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone by saying that Smokeless Image is one of the companies that you wish you have heard about FIRST when getting into the world of electronic cigarettes. The Smokeless Image Volt is one of the Top 3 starter kits that I religiously recommend to not only new comers into vaping, but also people looking for a good KR808D-1 electronic cigarette. Some of the most popular brands of e-cigs out there are getting more credit than they deserve, and most of it is because of advertising by affiliates. The prices that they offer are extremely reasonable and almost near wholesale, and if that is not enough, Smokeless Image also has a points system: i.e. every $4 you spend you get a point, then every 5 points earned equals a $1 credit…. So basically every $20 you spend you will have a $1 credit on your next order if you choose to use it. A little golden nugget: If you want to fill your blanks with something, I HIGHLY recommend Halo Cigs’ Torque 56 Juice, and if you aren’t into refilling yet, get the cartomizers – because they fit on the Smokeless Image Volt. Although the Smokeless Image Volt batteries appear to be identical to Bloog’s and Halo Cigs, I have found that they perform exceptional – and maybe even better.
The vapor production for the Smokeless Image Volt can only be described as “EPIC” for this size of battery. I know that sounds too good to be true, and 3 years ago it was, but the vaping technology is leaps and bounds ahead of what was available before.
Flavor is very subjective, and I cannot do you justice in telling you which ones you may or may not like.
If you are comparing the quality in the price-to-value ratio, it will be hard to get any better than Smokeless Image.

This is a really nice kit for the person just getting into vaping. I’ve seen some reviews of this TYPE of ecig getting slammed by a few that are use to vaping something along the lines of PBusardo’s light saber mod. Of course some big vapers may scoff at the little guys, but I believe there’s a place for these ecigs in the new vapors arsenal and i bet a few old time vapors have a spot in their hearts for them too.
Bad
ps. PCC is just plain kewl…yea plastic and flimsy maybe….but a step forward is always a good thing.
I’ve been vaping for two and a half years and two years of that has been with KR808Ds. My most recent choice of products has been V4L’s WOW carts with their standard battery or USB passthrough, so that’s what I’ll be comparing the Volt to. I have not yet tried V4L’s diamond or stealth series batteries.
Anyways, onto the Volt. First of all, I ordered on Sunday. The Volt was shipped on Monday and I just received it today (Tuesday). You got to love fast shipping and living close to a supplier!!!
The first thing I noticed was the battery’s finish. It’s not as rubbery as I expected it to be, but I do like it better than a standard battery. Just a note, my “red” LED is actually orange. Not a big deal…just something to note for those looking for a red LED.
So I put one of the ice menthol prefilled cartomizers on one of the batteries and take a hit. Not bad…not bad at all. I like the flavor of the ice menthol. Maybe not as much as I like my WOW peppermint, but still really good. Draw is just a hair tighter than I expected, but that’s not really a bad thing. I don’t like when its too airy. Considering I’m used to my 5 volt passthrough, it definitely gives a nice hit for being only 3.6 or 3.7….whichever it is….I can’t remember. Is it better than a WOW cart on a standard batt or passthrough….no…I can’t say that it is. I actually find it interesting that reviews imply that this is something so different than other 808′s. Granted, I don’t really remember the original carts. I remember being happy with them at the time, but then preferring premiums. But all in all I see no real difference in vapor production. I got good vapor with my WOW carts and I get good vapor with this. So they’re both good.
I suppose the big question is will I switch and I think that I will. I might at some point try out a V4L diamond for the sake of comparison, but I doubt it will be any time soon. The reason for that is that I get the same good vapor that I’m used to, without the burning cart. Or at least I assume that will be the case based on what I’ve read here. And the battery finish is like a little bonus….not worth switching for in itself…but a nice little touch. I also like the easier to remove drip tip thingy . All in all I’m I’m very happy with the Volt and with Smokeless Image.
Edit for something I just noticed: I just picked up my old cart and batt to do a comparison hit after vaping the Volt for awhile and I noticed that my WOW cart/standard battery combo was a bit noisy. The volt is silent for me, so another point goes to the Volt.
I’ve got the Volt, and I have to say that it is the best KR808 model I have ever used. No primer puffs needed, and gives good vapor. Normally I don’t like auto batteries, but they work very well on the Volt. The cartos also work very well. The folks over at Smokeless Image seem very nice, and are very responsive, as well.
I would definitely recommend the Volt to anyone who is considering it.
In my opinion, their service is top notch. I had a problem with one of their products, brought it to their attention and they replaced it free and quickly and apologized.
I highly recommend them.
The VOLT finally got me off analogs after my 3rd try with ecigs!! this is the best device on the market by far!!!
pick up some sealed autos as well!!! VOLT is the only ecig company to carry them!
My second e-cig and the only one to come close to imitating an analog for me. Love the tighter draw and vapor production. Have tried a few others and all are too “airy” for me. Their cartomizers are the best in my opininion and have used empties to mod for tank attys to keep that tighter draw. Shipping is super fast and the customer service is great.

I will never need another brand, ever!
After trying four other e-cig brands, I found myself disappointed and ready to give up on vaping. Then I started reading the glowing reviews about Smokeless Image on the ECF forum and decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did because I’ve been a satisfied vaper/customer ever since. Now, I recommend the Volt to anyone who is thinking about quitting smoking.
Their flavors are good, especially the chocolate, vanilla and mint. I hope they add more flavors in the future.
The only problems I’ve had were receiving a defective battery, charger and passthru. Customer Service replaced these items without charging me for shipping. Not only that, but they responded to my queries within hours.
I couldn’t agree more with this review. The Volt has become my favorite eCig of choice, and I highly recommend it to newbies and veterans alike. It even comes with instructions for the newbies. This is one satisfying vaping machine.
I am one of the lucky noobs who made his first ever vapor kit the Volt. I had started with cheap-o 21st Century e-cigs from the local gas station, and they were awful (I just didn’t know it yet). The vapor with the Volt is spectacular, the feel of the battery is great, and the flavors are outstanding. Flavor is all about personal opinion, but upon my first drag of Ry4, angels descended from the heavens and gave me a nice back rub. The PCC is also very well thought out.
But where Smokeless Image really sets itself apart is customer service. No only was the turn-around on my order ridiculously fast, but a representative using on-line chat very patiently answered all of my “stupid” noob questions (Hey, 4 years of college and not ON PROFESSOR ever told me what “KR808D1″ meant).
I can’t help but notice the parallels between Apple and Smokeless Image. Both sell an outstanding product, are shipped in impressive packaging, and both are laser-focused in their mission. The world of vaping\e-cigs can be overwhelming new a noob, but the clean, informative web page at Smokeless Image provides visitors with everything they need to know about the KR808D1 products they sell. And refill orders are a snap.
If I have not been clear, then let me summarize. The Volt is an outstanding product, sold by an outstanding company with outstanding customer service.
I love this product! It has successfully helped me give up cigarettes. I smoked for 23 years and truely thought I was unable to quit. My family is so happy that I finally kicked the habbit. I owe it all to the Volt.
