V2 Cigs recently announced that they have surpassed Blu Cigs and Green Smoke in sales volume for their electronic cigarettes, making them one of the most popular electronic cigarette companies in the United States. However, that is not the biggest reason why they are proud.

V2 Cigs prides themselves with producing one of the best e cig technologies on the market, utilizing multiple manufactures to meet their specification demands – but how does V2 Cigs hold up in the real world?

Customer Service plays a major role in deciding which company to do business with, especially online. Unfortunately, I have not needed to contact customer service for any problems with my V2 Cigs starter kit. This is a good thing, but certainly not as good as a 5-star rating.

I will update this section if I ever need to contact V2 Cigs customer service and post my results here.

V2 Cigs is located in Miami Beach, Florida – so those of us who are on the West Coast might have to wait an extra day or two before we get our stuff in the mail box.

However, my experience with V2 Cigs has been that they ship out your order promptly, and within 24 hours.

V2 Cigs Performance

I am a big fan of regulated voltage electronic cigarettes because of performance consistency. Unfortunately, V2 Cigs doesn’t appear to be regulated (I could be wrong). What this means is: once your battery is fully charged, it will start out strong at ~4.2 volts and die off as you use it – making you take longer and longer drags to get the same amount of vapor.

It’s not that big of a deal, but it can get annoying if you have been vaping for a while.

The standard V2 Cigs battery (79mm) is rated at 250mAh and works quite well. As far as the battery life is concerned, it is what you should expect for this size of battery and will depend on how much you vape with it.

Someone like myself, who always has their ecig in their hand, can expect 2-3 hours of moderate to heavy vaping. Those who only vape at designated “smoking breaks” will be able to get away with 5-6 hours of light vaping before needing to recharge the V2 Cigs battery.

If you are looking for clouds of vapor, V2 Cigs has just what the doctor ordered.

Not only do the V2 Cigs batteries work at 4.2 volts, the cartomizers (soft cap) that I received have the new horizontal atomizers (less polyfill burn) and allow you to get the most efficient usage of the juice contained therein.

I am unsure if V2 Cigs utilizes a mixture of PG and VG, but I have my suspicions. What I do know for a fact is that the amount of vapor that get is comparable to some of the more expensive “mods” that veteran vapers use.

Nothing gets more annoying than an e cig that feels like sucking on a plugged up straw every time you take a drag (other than mosquitoes, and people patting your sunburned back), so I am pleasantly surprised that V2 Cigs isn’t one of the electronic cigarette companies that leaves you hanging.

The V2 Cigs batteries have 2 air holes in the battery, and 4 air notches in their cartomizers, allowing for maximum air flow. But it doesn’t necessarily stop there. The two air holes in the batteries are twice as big as 90% of the other brands that I have tried – which makes the drag as light as air.

Personally, I like a little harder drag (for automatic batteries) – but as far as ease of drag is concerned, it doesn’t get any easier.

I recommend they call it “Air drag technology.”

Although Halo Cigs takes the lead in the throat hit department, V2 Cigs is no slouch either. The throat hit that you can expect is right on par with most of the other companies. 0Mg being no throat hit, 18mg kicking you right in the ass, and everything else in between.

Because V2 Cigs uses horizontal styled atomizers in their carts, the cartridge life is significantly improved. The atomizer is located at the bottom of the cartomizer and doesn’t actually touch the polyfill, so you will rarely ever burn the “stuffing,” thus increasing the life of the flavor for whenever you refill.

However, the batteries operate at 4.2 volts (up from 3.7 volts from most other companies), thus reducing the life of each cartridge – albeit not by too much.

I have found that with V2 Cigs, I get around 200-250 puffs before needing to either refill, or toss ‘em.

Considering that the typical cigarette is around 15 puffs, that equals to around 15 cigarettes (which is 3/4 of pack, by the way).

V2 Cigs Flavors

Flavor is something that I cannot tell you which ones to like (nor should I) as it is very subjective.

Though I can say that there are quite a few flavors that I think you may enjoy, as well as the quality of the flavor is very good and true to taste (though Cherry is unbelievably horrible in my opinion – taste’s like cough syrup).

Cola: 8/10 (eerily similar to the taste of coca-cola)

V2 Cigs Value

Price-to-value is something that concerns just about everyone who is looking for their first electronic cigarette starter kit. There are a lot of companies online, as well as at the mall (I’m sure you’ve seen them), that are just plain rip-offs.

While V2 Cigs isn’t the least expensive brand that you can get, they are far from the worst of the bunch. In fact, I was a bit hesitant to try out V2 Cigs but am pleasantly surprised, both in the amount of accessories they offer, and the unique flavors.

V2 Cigs offers Portable Charging Cases, E-Juice, Blank Cartomizers, Carrying Cases, Lanyards, USB Passthru’s, Drip Tips, etc.; and it is quite clear that they are growing the demands of the electronic cigarette community.

The only thing I can say is that I wish the prices were a tad bit cheaper, but with that said – you could do much worse.

All in all, I think V2 Cigs offers a quality product that is a slap in the face to the $150 rip-off’s that you find at the mall-kiosk.

V2 Cigs is a high powered KR808D-1 styled electronic cigarette that few companies offer (4.2 volt) and has some great flavors.

When I first picked up the starter kit, I originally thought that V2 Cigs is identical to Vapor4Life, but found that is not the case – since V2 Cigs is a bit more reliable and consistent with what you get.

Although there is more to be desired in the way of flavors and pricing on certain accessories, new comers to the world of electronic cigarettes will have to have extremely high expectations in order to be disapointed.
